Sorry to bump an old thread, but I thought it would be worth mentioning that I finally managed to sort out my intermittent oil pressure/handbrake light problem. My full/dipped beam switch had not been working properly for a while. It finally packed up while I was driving home from a drift day last w...

Just thought I'd pop up a pic of my car with Dai's lowering blocks and springs fitted. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e234/300pound/PHOT0012.jpg Fitting was simple because I got Josh to do most of it, but we did find that the bolts supplied with the blocks were no good. The unthreaded part was to...

That's an amazing machine.

If I had the cash, I'd be ripping your arm off.

Good luck with the sale.

Cool! Thanks for the advice!

Assuming I bugger everything up and destroy part of the rubber trim, is it something that sould be bodged with loads of silicone?

Windscreen

I'm looking for a windscreen for my 3dr, mk2, GLT.

Not in a desperate hurry, but it's recently taken one pigeon too many. :(

Mine does this too, except the oil pressure light comes on at the same time. I'd always just assumed it was a loose connection or possibly oil surge/brake fluid sloshing around in the reservoir.

What you say about the relative speeds of the 340 and the 360 is interesting. Personally, I also think that the 1.7 feels faster and more eager to rev than the 2.0. However, I recently took part in a drag race pitting a standard 360GLT against a stripped 1.7 340 with a welded diff. Although the 340 ...

This thread is interesting. I tried to use a set of 4x100 Vauxhall rims on a drift day and lost 5 wheel nuts within 3 laps! They felt like they had torqued down, but then came loose as soon as it was driven. I thought this was due to the pitch of the face on the nuts not matching the wheels, but wha...

Between Chippenham (J17) and some point past Swindon but before Newbury. Not been that way for a while, but I think they set it up about 3 or 4 years ago.

Get from A to B quicker than they think you should, and the first thing you will know about it is when the fine / ban / summons lands in your letterbox. IMHO this is a system purely designed to releve us of cash and has no real bearing on road saftey, Spot on. Average speed systems such as these do...

Right, I see. So mechanically the current generation of Ford and Volvo engines are the same?

With regard to quality, what do you mean? As a consumer, how do you judge the quality of an engine? Just curious.

Haha.. Cool!

I know nothing about the motor industry, so I'm going to ask why go to the hassle of having a Volvo designed engine if it's going to be built at a Ford plant? Surely it would be easier for them to churn out more Duratecs (or whatever) instead?
