Re: Performance parts cat

Hi Dai

Are the 1.7 engine mounts ok to use on a 1.8 clio engine? i know i used the 1.7 ones before so i'm guessing they would be ok just wanting to check. Think i checked a year odd ago and they were not ready - also after a 1 1/2" rear lowering block kit.

Thanks

clutch release bearing

Hi guys Is there 2 types of clutch release bearings for the 1.7 engine. I bought a clutch kit which included a bearing but it looks different from mine. Not sure on the year but mine is held in a rubber/plastic casing and does not look like the smaller metal one with the kit. If anyone can shed some...

Mine was set up on a rolling road by a mini specialist who has worked on carbs of all sorts for over 30 years - dont forget every rolling road is different - some over read some under read. Think most people on bike carbs will make 150 with free flowing exhaust and fueling set up with correct jets -...

Hi Clutch is a combination of the 1.7 clutch and the 1.8 flywheel 1.7 Radiator should be ok - i have an escort one as its got the pipes in the right place as mine was a 1.4 one and too small. I'm also running motorbike carbs and matching fuel pump as it replaces having an ecu - but costs about £300 ...

The subframe is easy to fit from the 1.7 as we had to do this to our 1.4. Its only 6 bolts 2 each side and two on the inside.
