1.7 Distributor cap removal
Apoligies if this has been covered before but I can't seem to find it. I have a screw on dizzy cap on my 1.7 and am wondering how on earth to remove it to clean inside and check the condition. A "normal" length or even a stubby screwdriver is too long as the bulkhead is in the way. Do I need a speci...

Just to update folks on this and to prove that we all are being stitched up, I got a years fully comp insurance with roadside breakdown for £100. All by spending half an hour on web comparason sites. This is with the AA.

Hi, can anyone advise me on where to try for insurance on my 1989 340DL. My renewal from CIS is quite astounding at £200.00 (that includes breakdown cover though) for fully comp cover. I don't really need fully comp cover but it seems near the same for some reason for tpf&t. Is there anyone who know...

I've an 89 340DL with a very noisey clutch release bearing. I've been quoted over £200.00 to replace this (including a new clutch) by a local mechanic. Bearing in mind the m.o.t. has just run out as well, it don't seem viable to have it fixed. Or in peoples opinion, am I being stiched up by the mech...
