Re: 360 LSD.

Hi Miniswift,
Just let me know when Foggy orders, I'll try to have my financial means back in the healthy regions by then and order together.

Re: 360 LSD.

Hi Miniswift,
I am interested in one too, but first need to recover financially from some big spendings on the car, and the purchase of a small lathe. Please keep it warm!

Re: Carbs in bitz

It could be that the Idle shut off solenoid not being there is a 440 carb, which is a pretty normal swap over here as there are not many 340 1,7's on the scrapyard but quite a lot 440's with carb...
My previous 340 (rests in pieces) had a carb without solenoid, wire dangling loose.

Re: Carbs in bitz

Mac, Be advised that for the B172K, there have been significant variations in carb as well... I have had four different carbs for this engine on my hands now, and no one is similar to another. Changes concerned are inside the float chamber, acceleration injector, float chamber vent and idling thingi...

Ah! Good news!

We can't wait to see our polybushes on the cars!

Oh, and success with the build of your house! I hope it's a planned rebuild?

1.4 & 1.7 poly engine front mounts £15 each

How much of these would I need for my 1,7?
The parts catalogue suggests 2, however a quick look under the bonnet makes me doubt...?

I might be interested in a ARB as well, in my case for a 340 1,7. I don't know if these are different to the 360 ARB's.
My only concern is shipping to the Netherlands, but maybe we could do a sort of groupbuy then :)

Did you check the float already? If not, do that first!!! Probably the float sits too deep as it is a bit filled with fuel. Check: -Take the carb head off the carb: you need to undo the big bolts that hold the carb in place, and the 5 screws that keeps the top tied to the rest. Then carefully lift v...

Could very well be, yes. But then again, the Solex CISAC 28-32 isn't exactly the most predictable or adjustable kind of carb  I spent about 6-8 months to get it more or less right  Just another few steps to think of: -Did you check float height when you fitted the new float? -Did you chec...
