Very tidy Redline F/S
Hi all, i know i don't frequent the site much anymore, however a fellow local 300 owner has been in touch today. I met the guy David sometime last year when i was admiring his Redline in the local Asda carpark. Well today he has been in touch to say recently he has been unwell and in hospital for so...

Thats if the valence is rust free and not too badly fire damaged, let me know, cheers.

Local dealer to me, chancing his arm a bit there i reckon. Trades and description act "Excellent condition, inside and out", yeah if you ignore the massive dent on the corner of the front valance! I reckon he'll still have it in 6month + at that price. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1986-Volvo-340-GL-1-4...

Re: PLEASE READ.
Over 3 pages of this topic, i may have just missed it, but i've not seen a link to the actual PROPOSAL that is getting everyones knickers in a twist, so here it is, sadly i don't speak political jargon so don't understand half of it: http://ec.europa.eu/transport/doc/roadworthiness-package/com%28201...

Re: The Battleship,Williams, sentenced to death!
Thanks for the replies guys. The front valance is certainly the worst place, but not the only place it will need work for the mot, thats not including other iffy bits i know about, but won't affect the mot. I think the mot man was saying to kill it off only due to the cost of work doing it would out...

Re: The Battleship,Williams, sentenced to death!
Here's some pics to get a better idea of the situation. As you may be able to work out it's been repaired atleast twice before (badly) as they didn't cut out the rot, just plated over it, so it now appears like its 3 layers of rust. Or are they triple skinned? The black area above the rot still look...

Re: The Battleship,Williams, sentenced to death!
TBH thats what i thought too, hence i've never bothered getting it repaired due to me thinking it being non structual. The thing is it's gone on the outside pretty much the whole width of the car and it's also going through on the inside near the bottom rad hose. They said due to it being so close t...

Re: The Battleship,Williams, Grill gone AWOL!
Long time no update, i'm still about VND just don't really post. Well it looks like its the end of an era, just got back from the garage where i had my Mot test booked for today. Put this way it never even saw the Mot station due to terminal rot of the front valance, which as everyone knows is no lo...

Re: Hatch light
Thats odd, mine definitely doesn't have one of those swithches, but the light used to work. That said one evening walking back into a dark driveway i could see a glow from the boot, it turned out the light was on permanently so i just disconnected it as i rarely use the boot. Not really helpful here...

Re: Portly - B43 GHH (Picture Heavy)
Yeah i thought that was the case or similar. I too have been looking up at hotrods, but the problem is although there are all these rules and regulations in place no one seems certain what you can and can't do. I'm under the impression it's easier to get things passed if they are an older build car,...
