Re: 360 Renix Required - 414

I'm still on the look out for a replacement Renix unit if anyone can help?

Ideally I need a 414 but may try substituting for another if none are available!

Re: 360 Renix Required - 414

Thanks for the help guys – I ’d been through Mac’s (excellent) diagnostic guide and these were the results: -No spark at the coil output during cranking. -12v at the renix and a good ground. -Crank sensor resistance (160 – 280 ohms): 290 ohms Separated the coil from the renix: -Test lamp across the ...

360 Renix Required - 414

Sadly my 360 (b200k) doesn't want to start and I think I've narrowed the problem to the renix unit - does anyone have a spare?

The part number is 414 A.

Thanks!

Re: interior water leaks

My 360 had a leak that came through the weather shield behind the interior door trim and then over the door seal. I was only able to find it by taking up the carpet and pouring water over the door/windscreen area. If it is still not obvious where it is coming from you could try dusting the floor pan...

Re: Rear doors wont open

Ah fair enough, I'll just have to be a little more careful next time I do it. Thanks for the info!

Re: Rear doors wont open

When I replaced a rear door motor the hardest part of the job was putting the door panel back on. I really struggled to get the window rubber for the quarter light back over the top of the trim, I found the only way was to push the trim down against it and use a screw driver to hook it over the top....

Trial and error got me there in the end, not a tough job at all :)

Clutch cable adjustment?

I'm finding that after the car has been on the road for a while the gear change between 4th and 5th is a little crunchy, as is reverse. I think the clutch might be dragging a little bit, how do I adjust the cable to compensate for this? I’ve not done this before but I can see that the end of the clu...

Re: Roundabouts

I'm pretty local to the 'Magic roundabout'in Swindon and it isn't that difficult use, it was a bit intimidating when I was learning to drive though!

Re: Earth faults

Where about is the earth point? I've had my instrument cluster out to repair the indicator mount so now is probably a good time for me to check! This is probably unrelated but I've found that the illumination for the head lights switch has got a very poor voltage (~0.4v), despite the rest of the swi...

Tool for the diff filler plug

What is the correct tool to use to remove the filler plug? It looks like the drive from a socket wrench will fit but it feels a little loose and I don’t want to round the plug off.

Bump!
Has anyone got any experience replacing the seals on the diff?

Leaking diff on my 360

I cleaned the diff up the other day as it seemed a bit grubby and I've discovered a leak!
There is a drop of oil on the bottom of the casing on the n/s. I'm guessing this is coming from where the drive shaft enters the differential?
How difficult is this going to be to sort out?

Cheers,
Alex
