SOLD: Volvo 340 1.7

1990 Volvo 340 1.7 5-door for sale. My fiance has decided she would like something with a smaller engine to learn to drive in. Good points: Recently serviced with new cambelt kit and alternator belt, 70k from new, lots of service history, Taxed and MoTed ready to drive away. Runs well (runs on unlea...

Three women are at the pearly gates waiting to go into heaven, and St Peter says "come on in, but be very careful not to tread on any of the ducks". They go on in, and there are ducks everywhere. They try to avoid them but one of the women steps on a duck. St Peter turns up with the ugliest man they...

I've always used Turtlewax tyre shine which is a mission to work it in the first time but easy after that and lasts a couple of months. Do the mirrors, grille, tyres, rubbing strips, spoiler and heater inlet on the bonnet and everything else black for maximum effect. See here for before and after pi...

In my 1990 340, Green = 12v Red/Black = Ignition switched 12v Brown = Earth And a black and grey to each of the speakers. I didn't know which was which so I worked it out with a Power Probe (or you can use a Voltmeter), just check the voltage at each wire and then again with the ignition on. Put a 1...

I used tyre shine on pretty much everything black on the car, i.e. tyres, mudflaps, bumpers, rubbing strips, mirrors, spoiler, petrol cap and grille.

On Saturday it was my girlfriend's birthday so I gave her the car, but only after I had fitted some alloys, given it a full service and new cambelt and alternator belt, fitted the plastic cover in the bumper (Cheers Jay), taken all the stickers out from previous owners and given it a very good clean...

They are designed to break off during fitting so that they are hard for thieves to remove.

Try molegrips on them (unlikely) but if not you'll just have to cut/drill/grind through them.

Thanks for all the replies. The sunroof might be a difficult one to fix - if it doesn't leak and doesn't develop too much wind noise it's probably better to keep it shut ;-) Can you hear the electric mirror motors working or are they completely dead? The LH one makes a clicking noise as if it has a ...
