Off topic for a second... I was having problems with getting my 340 started, was turning over but the fully charged battery was just running flat each time I tried it. Dad is an ex mechanic and we were able to identify it to being a fuel pump problem. We got it to fire by placing fuel directly into ...

Yeah I know :)

It's more about the fact his doesn't, and he hasn't had one since his old Volvo.

This was my grandparents, but they only use the V40 now (found the steering too heavy on this one). I got the old sticker on eBay, £5 for a 1m one. Aah. Thought it looked a bit familiar that's all, cos there was one on the site we do not speak of the same colour as that and it had a CD player. Alas...

There have been some really cheap ones down here, I saw one go for under £100 the other day, perfect condition, electric everything, low mileage - a real shame! Here's mine (at my house now). I've been cleaning it all morning, got most of the moss and dirt off it, just some T-cutting to do and polis...

Was signwriting a volvo option then James LOL LOL!!! No, I don't think so! I'm also looking around for the added options, and a rev counter may still be on the list. I've put some speakers in the rear parcel shelf, and a newer JVC radio/cassette. Once I've bought the touch screen it'll have an on b...

I have my own business doing odd computer bits and web design, re-sell hosting etc. Also do some light and sound operating and rigging in spare time. Hope to get the 340 sign written in a few weeks. Incidentally it's been SORN for 18 months, and today went in for a service and MOT. One of the brakes...

Welcome! Get yourself a rev counter...it a direct drop-in, no wiring needed! Let me know if you want me to find you one... cheers James How does that work exactly? I've seen a few which are add-ons which would be held on the pillar etc. If you don't mind, or know where I might be able to find one t...

Drools!! That's what I hope to get to, one day. I bought some 340 brochures on eBay and they look really smart, just like yours! Even the bumpers are black! :D

It's a straight 300. I was somewhat bemused that it has no rev counter, but heated seats!

Newbie! My 340

Hi everyone, I'm in Essex and have acquired a red 340. It was my grandparents who now only use a Volvo V40, and it's been sitting stationary for 8 months or so. I've done some work on it, a little rust repair and a new stereo and speakers, but in the next few weeks it's coming home. The only really ...
