Re: 360 LSD.
Some bad luck with that diff, sonds like it wa made badly. I wonder how many are installed and in use. Yes its not fun. Hopefully this last problem is solved by my friend and his lathe. As long as there is too much material you can always take some away. The other way around had been a headache. I ...

Re: 360 LSD.
To the LAST problem(s) hopefully: So now the Torsen diff is finally bolted together with the crown wheel, fitted to the diff housing with new bearings and seals. Preload, backlash and gear contact pattern is somewhere in the ballpark. So far all good! BUT. When the drive flanges is bolted in, the d...

Re: 360 LSD.
Hi again. Sorry for the long delay. Spring/summer time isn't the best time for garage work with lots of other things to do. Now I have sorted the last, or better the most recent problem with my Torsen not turning easy though we made the spacer flush. My friend took of a bit more with the lathe to ma...

Re: 360 LSD.
I would say if there is a tight spot something is wrong. Best open the cover and check for what is sticking Now I have checked and found a tight spot.. If you look at the blue line you can see that the "center gear" is not flush with the smaller ones ore even the face of the diff. That makes that g...

Re: 360 LSD.
Ive had a similar problem with the spacer / worm gear retainer ring being too big for the crown wheel. Its currently at the machine shop with the crown wheel to get it to sit flush. Hi! I had also the same problem but got it sorted. But now with the diff bolted to the crown wheel the diff is mostly...

Re: 360 LSD.
Hello all.
I haven´t been logged in here for a long time because of a move to an other house and garage.
Haven´t fitted the LSD either.
But this makes me sad, that the production of the LSD:s will not continue.
Is there a possibility that this could continue without you miniswift

Re: 360 LSD.
miniswift, what is the ratio, that this torsen differential can transfer momentum with? Is that known? Just curious!

Re: 360 LSD.
Yes that type of bolt would be great. It was a lot more difficult than I thought to google specific bolts... maybe the best thing to do is like you seem to have been doing, namely, finding a bolt that's used in a car that uses M12, 1.5 pitch quality 12.9 and just hope they are longer than 30 mm. Go...

Re: 360 LSD.
Hello.
I think we should look for a bolt with a head like this.
A bolt with cap head will be to high, especially if a 12.9 washer is used as well.
So hex head "with built-in washer" bolt. M12x1.5 with the right non threaded length.

Re: 360 LSD.
Hello, now I have looked more closely at my Torsen that I received yesterday. No problem with the disc fitment into the crown wheel, that Kurre86 showed higher up on this page. http://www.300power.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=574.0;attach=25498;image Disc fitment into crownwheel is good...
