As far as i know the rubber piece always comes out that far when the engine hangs in the mounts. It's like that on my car too.

What i did do is put a little piece of steal, i believe 6 mm thick, under the black brackets in which both mounts hang. I don't have any trouble with weird sounds anymore ...

What i forgot to say; the left tread (right word?) with the rubber thingy is obviously worn troughout the years. That will be a bit shorter then the 3.6cm/1.42inch i guess, when you have a new mount.

I've got the K-cam installed for a while now. It gives longer torque in all the gears. Especially in first gear that's a big plus. With the normal cam the accelerating power is gone around 4000 rpm. With this cam you still have much torque at that rpm. But when you really want to have all the power ...

I have checked a FAI gaskets catalogue and it confirms as per my description the same head gasket set for both models. You are correct the engine bore sizes are different but they use the same head set.
