Re: Weights of parts and cars

I'm very interested in the modified MG disk covers. Any pictures, anyone? Supplier?

Re: 360 carby fuel supply

Yo! Still not made progress but I have done tons of lock-down decorating and have been replacing the perspex roof on the car-port for the garage. I found my set of fine-tipped tweezers, having by then already foolishly ordered one on ebay - they seem to be used a lot for eye-brows and eye-lashes the...

Re: Brake Hoses

Hello, good luck with all that. When I have done this in the past, the metal brake pipes usually get broken e.g. the one across the back-axle (just to cheer you up) but it was dead-easy to get someone to make-up copper replacements (although the last time I asked at the shop, they has stopped doing ...

Re: Sluggish Starting after a run

Most of the brake trouble I have had is caused by this thing which goes through the back-plate. The hand brake cable connects to it, so it might be relevant to your issue, but when it sticks it usually causes the hand-brake not to work!! http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k163/bogbasic/11082013002_zp...

Re: Ambient Temperature Gauge and Sensor fitting

Quick question, why did you take the plastic circuit board off? I did that to swap the speedo which wasn't working. My post was misleading, the blue plastic circuit layer stays attached to the white back-plate, but I think its fair to say its a bit of a fiddle getting the plate off the back of the ...

Re: 1989 340 360 Accessory Catalogue

Well not really an accessory, but clearing out the garage revealed a find from 2001... http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k163/bogbasic/2020_05_08_03.19.31_zpsmitl2olp.jpg I evidently got a new heater thermal-cutout from a main-dealer in 2001 and, thankfully, thought it worth keeping the old one. We ...

Beat this for an accessory:

Probably from the winter of 78/79 when we had 6 weeks of snow and ice over Christmas. That was hard for southerners (taking mock O-levels) ;-0

Re: Boot compartment doors / flaps

I'd love to have some of these accessories but my boot is so jam-packed, I'd struggle to get everything in!! Maybe for the red one which doesn't do many miles. I do have one of those cassette tape racks stored in the roof and a rusty tow-bar somewhere ;-0 Dog-guard? Well, she gets pride of place on ...

Re: Boot compartment doors / flaps

Never heard of them before. There was a post on here about 15 years ago where someone pointed out a thing on ebay which was like a moulded plastic waterproof container that filled the entire boot. Someone joked that it would be great for window cleaners!

Re: Ambient Temperature Gauge and Sensor fitting

It should just pull-off, but disconnect the battery or your neighbours will hear a lot of honking ;-0
