1989 F Volvo 360 GLE *SOLD*
Resplendant in retro gold, this is the 2.0 version with the Volvo red block engine, which has done almost 59000 miles. It doesn't have any service history, but does have all the old MOT certificates to prove the mileage. It has MOT until July 2013 and tax until end December 2012. I have owned the ca...

Re: 360 choke return problem
Ok a had a look and everything is still connected fine. I took the covers off under the dash and it turns out that when I push the choke back in, the cable (and the outer sleeve) bends and therefore doesnt push the inner cable back through. The cable obviously needs some lubrication, but how do you ...

360 choke return problem
Hi, I have a slightly impractical problem with my 360 GLE. The choke cable went very stiff especially during this cold weather, it is now back to normal again when pulling it out however the choke will not return when using the cable/handle. I can obviously return in manually on the carb itself. I h...

Re: Squeaking from carb?
well its definately coming from the base of the carb, it sprayed some wd40 around there and the whistle stopped. In fact it hasnt came back yet so guess I'll see how it goes.

Re: Squeaking from carb?
Nope, I'm 100% sure its not a belt. It sounds like a high pressure air leak or something and seems louder around the back of the carb (when looking from the front of the car).

Re: Squeaking from carb?
Yes it a continuous squeak. You hear it at idle/tickover and at any cruising speed. As soon as you put your foot down more and accelerate it stops. Revving it when stationary doesn't seem to stop it. Its hard to pin the location down when listening in the engine bay, but it definately seems to be co...

Squeaking from carb?
Hi, I‘ve done a search and can't find this exact problem, just similar ones! I have an '89 360 GLE, so a B200 engine, and once warmed up there is quite a loud high pitched squeak coming from the carb (or at least it sounds like its from there). You hear it at idle and when cruising, but put your foo...

My cars totally standard mechanically so has the original 360 gearbox. so the diff should be a straight swap then?SteveP wrote:The diff itself will, but you'll have to use the original 360 gearbox
