340 1.7, minilites, stripped.
Hi, I'm selling my 1.7 340 as I'm working away too much to justify keeping it. IMG-20130518-00309.jpg Its a 1988 Volvo 340 1.7 gl 5 door (redline) with 140,000 miles on the clock. I purchased it from ScratterDan over 2 years ago with 125,000 on the clock Pretty solid for its age, some rust spots on ...

1.7 DIFFERENTIAL
looking for a replacement differential (car is a 90 reg 1.7)
or complete new internals for my diff as the drive flange has snapped off leaving the splined section well and trully mullered inside the sun gear.
Has anyone got a spare diff they want to part with?

Re: Driveshaft to hub
Cheers for the heads up, I'll keep my eyes peeled for one next time I'm at the Scrappers. I'm gonna have to strip it at some point and properly sort the back end out soon.

Re: Driveshaft to hub
Thanks for the help guys Sorry for the late reply, I had to take it to the garage to get three of the remaining bolts drilled out and helicoiled. Its all up and running with the correct spec bolts fitted. Just noticed the lowering blocks have been fitted with the U style bolts, so guess I'll have so...

Driveshaft to hub
Hi I just bought Scratterdans 340 and managed to have a fun drive home, bar the 6 allen key bolts snapping that connect the rear driveshaft to the hub. I've managed to get three of the 6 out and replace with some M8 bolts I had lying around which should get me to the garage. They look like an M8 cap...

Re: Newbie- F77 OAP
Few more pics of the bonnet finished in satin black and the front end stripped to remove the headlight wipers and clean the bumper properly. The metal bar than runs behind the bumper is going to get a clean and a good dose of hammerite. Removed the chrome strip on the bumper. Going to start on the b...

Re: Newbie- F77 OAP
Going to get it running as my daily driver first, but i quite fancy the idea of stripping the interior and fitting a pair of bucket seats eventually.
Got the bonnet sanded and primered tonight, satin black going on tomorrow night.

Re: Newbie- F77 OAP
I feel it would only be right to slam it, strip it and do an engine swap. Watching an engine on ebay at the mo...... Just got some satin black, to spray the boot lid and bonnet with, got one small bit of rust to deal with on the boot. I expect I'll be posting a few queries about suspension and wheel...
