Re: Opening up tail light and front light
I tried this many years ago, they are glued and won't come apart. The dirt can be difficult to shift. A long soak in hot soapy water helps. I had to direct a jet of water to try and clean it out. In those days I only had a hosepipe. Maybe a jet wash was would help. The only alternative is to find be...

Re: New to V3M but not to Volvo's
I bought an original condition 17,000 mile 360 in 2009 for £1200. Felt like a lot then, but not now. The car you are looking at looks very nice, you have to weigh up the cost of the cam belt it's had done, exhaust and other things etc. I had an a stainless exhaust fitted at the same place in Doncast...

Re: '86 340 DL
Photos are fine, looks to be in great shape. I drove a C.V.T. for 10 years, yes, not to everyone's taste. I always wanted a manual but the car had been in the family since 1977 so I kept it running! Now have all manuals, 340, 360 and a 740.

Epic work - not seen you here for a while. Might have not signed in a few times, I was away most of December and not been doing anything with the cars over winter. Quiet on here I expect due to Facebook, pity as the forum is actually a better way to record things. I've been sorting out a non workin...

Re: Gold 360 GLS XKW
The awesomeness lives on. Currently awaiting repair panels for mine to get it through the MOT. The poor garage man has been saying "Its getting very rusty now, Mr Cooper" with that familiar ring to it. Have you seen a 440 lately? I've not seen one for a good 2-3 years round here. I see more 340's. ...

Re: G89 VFW (Project) Time for some TLC
Just a quick update. VFW still exists, although off the road for the last 4 1/2 years (dry stored but dusty! :D ). I check it every so often and started it before Christmas 2018. It needed a new fuel pipe to the pump as the rubber had perished and petrol was dripping out. Unfortunately I'm coming un...

Re: Gold 360 GLS XKW
Just to add further confusion, I'll update the history of this car late again! In 2014, I failed to get the M.O.T. in time for the annual caravan trip so VFW was brought out of mothballs. XKW had failed on a small rust patch on the O/S sill by the rear wheel and neither I nor the garage had time to ...

Re: 4k mile 343 manual
Hi Andy. Must keep that in mind mate as my spare wheel is 34 years old and has never been on the road. Cheers Mark. sm69 sm69 sm69 sm69 sm69 sm69 sm69 sm69 I recently changed the wheels on my gold GLS back to the ones that came on it. A few years ago I'd put on some alloys I bought from Theo in Cor...

Re: 4k mile 343 manual
Amazing condition, I would keep the wheels and tyres (but not use them on the road!) and get some more shot blasted, sprayed up with new tyres on. If you intend to use it much the paint on those those wheels soon lets rust in! I did that with my 360 which was in similar condition and year but at 17,...
