The previous owner had just patched wires into the fuse boc where the flasher unit(s) are meant to go.

So there were actually two flasher units? One for directionals, and one for 4-way emergency flashers?

Can anyone help me isolate the manufacturer and part number?

As this switch is inoperative to car must be shut off & restarted when shifting back and forth between drive and reverse....
