hello , your idle problem may be the idle solenoid/jet. They can stick easily but can be bypassed by cutting the plunger short by 1/8in Must be one of the lowest mileage ones in existence persevere as mine was like that when I bought it but a 340 mechanic Jim Poolman in Hampshire fixed it in 10 minu...

I f you did not have clamps on the liners before turning it over you may have disturbed the bottom seals. A pressure test on the block+head assembled will help. in any case dont scrap it as Iam sure ssomeone will use it. regards, steve

If you love your car, you cannot sell it! Let the DSS pay your rent. I ve been through that and came out the other side . Jobs come and go but your car is irreplaceable. Its like losing part of yourself if you have done lots to it. You will also need it to go for job interviews.

Yes, they are triangular/conical. I found them listed under "nordic volvo" so looks like they are still available. So much for listening to the mot tester!

We seem to be mixing description. Your links show what we call in english ,track rod ball joints . I am after the rubber cushions with holes that fix on the end of the front stabiliser bars!

Thats right ,they are at the end of the front tie bar. Last year the mot tester put on an advisory but implied they were unobtainable from Volvo(the local Volvo main dealer has closed down). Have you found them at a motor factors? Would like to replace them shortly so be most interested of your supp...
