Re: b230fk egr valve
The other thing a (modern) EGR on a petrol doe aside from reducing NOx emissions is to reduce pumping losses at low throttle openings. It is generally a good thing unless you don't care about fuel economy, at least until it gets so full of soot it doesn't work any more.

I'm also tempted to co-ax a heck of a lot of the sensors You can't go around wiring stuff up properly, it might work then and where would be the fun in that? I would make sure the crank sensor is wired up properly screened but the rest probably aren't worth it if you can route the wires away from n...

What size tyres did you have on before? I still think you need to go a little wider somewhere around a 185/65/13 on a 5.5J wheel should be about right.Chris_C wrote:Wheels are 13's, with a 165/75 on.

I think that shielding was meant to be connected at one end only in that, which was weird for me If you ground the shield at both ends you will have a ground loop, this is a bad thing(tm) and will make it noisy. You should ground it at one end only, ideally the shield for the crank trigger should b...

I don't have it back at the moment though do I, I'm still waiting to see my shocks again. Then I need to properly sort the bonnet out and then at last I can get on with making it better rather than just making it work.

That's a lot of knocks. It'd be interesting to see what that graph looked like after a few minutes on island fuel. What does lambda look like where it's detecting knock? Presumably if you take a bit of advancedness out and put a smidge more fuel in it stops doing it? Evoman: MAP should be atmospheri...

Re: what are?
I'm not too sure on this tbh All fuel pressure regs work roughly the same, there's a valve that allows fuel to flow back to the tank, and a spring keeping it shut. The preload on the spring sets the fuel pressure, typically this is set by shims, most aftermarket regulators are adjustable so have a ...

I reckon somebody told it you were going to put it on a track and it didn't like the sound of that.
I meant to ask earlier, how far round does the crack go? it looks like it's heading for the starter that clearly doesn't fit but I can't tell how close it gets to being in two pieces.

Not sure whats gone but the bellhousing is in more than a standard OEM number of pieces and cock knows what else has happened. Is it just cracked or does it have holes in it? Presumably it's a clutch failure of some sort that has been contained by the bell housing. If you want a lift to go and get ...

Re: Fake - F7R Motorsport Daily
That's hardly rusty at all Chris, if you can make a patch rather than having to make a whole panel then it doesn't count. When I'm back to working on metal cars instead of plastic ones I'll show you what proper rust looks like.
Looking good though

The best change with the most effective result was a registration question with a specific answer, I remember I used "please write Volvo in reverse", it worked great... Only trouble was that real members registration dropped down, probably due to mistakes and they gave up. I think your question is ...
