420Nm is pretty safe. 440Nm and all you need is 1 full throttle acceleration on 3rd gear. It breaks cause the 3rd gears cogwheel is in the middle of the long axel, and the axel bends making it slip.

You're looking at £2-3k for a 911 transaxle though, and they're stupendously long geared. The renaullt transaxles are great as you can easily flip em upsidedown, however they're expensive. The horsepower doesnt matter, its the torque! M47 will explod at 440Nm allmost instantly! The 47R that was in my 360 did not break even whit 435Nm torque (370Nm Backwheel Newtons) Propably because the power came whit so hi revs around 4000rpm? But if the power is there allready in about 3000rpms the...
