Re: Timing belt change help?
I can tell ya know, that you wouldn't have done any damage to your vales if it was only with hand pressure, They're not that delicate. As for finding top dead centre on pot number one 1, you can do that buy pulling the plug out stick a pencil in the pot (don't loose it, you'll have fun trying to get...

Re: Engine Conversion - B200E to B21A
Should be different? I don’t buy it, why would they change? I can think of quite a few engines that started there life as carburetted system and as time progressed EFI was introduced to the later models on the same long block essentially. The last one of these I did was a 202 from and early Holden a...

Re: Engine Conversion - B200E to B21A
Lets just think about this logically for just a minute and explain why this WONT work. The common parts are the Head, Cam, Block and Crank. So I'm told by a handful of blokes that work/worked for Volvo say that they are almost exactly the same. They didn't redesign any of these parts between these m...

Re: Engine Conversion - B200E to B21A
The conversion is quite easy tbh. All the parts will bolt onto teh B21a engine from the B200e. The exact water set up on B21's changed from year to year but not to complicated to blank off the manifold heater connections. You can bolt the 360 dizzy in place of the B21 item. I would personaly look a...

Yeah I knew about the sump and pumps.
But your right, the ignition is my concern and these are the questions I hope to get answered.

Engine Conversion - B200E to B21A
I know it sounds crazy but hear me out... The timing belt snapped in my B200E the other day and we all know what happens when that goes. So now I have a Volvo branded boat anchor in the front of my little 360. A mate of mine has given me '79 240 wagon which had a reco B21A engine installed less than...

Re: temp gauge question
How long should it take to warm up? I dont see mine lift off the bottom on my drive to and from work which is about 15 min trip.
I know it works because it got real warm when I split a hose and almost ran it dry.

Re: Under seat subs
Lucky they're not decent subs. I understand the they will preform better if I were to throw them into a W-Bin styled box at the corect volume but im not sacrificing my whole boot. I mean its not like I listen to rap or techno, all I need them to do is emphisize the kick that is being eaten up buy th...

Under seat subs
So I picked up a set of 10" subs this week for a rockin' $55. They are not the best in the world, but the unported box really dont do the juctice. The plan is to whip up some new boxes and have them go under the front seats. We have got tons of room under there, I was just wondering if anybody has t...

Re: Driveline noise
Sounds like rear wheel barings to me, Im getting the same sounds. To my suprise the 2 previous owners have kept every single recept for the car. (The glove box was over flowing) I found that 10 years ago the RHS wheel baring was replaced but not the LHS. Its far more obvious if you kill the engine a...
