Re: 360 GLEi SE
Maybe he fell foul of a very stringent M.O.T. inspector? He put it up on ramps to investigate a slight knock from the exhaust (I'd included a brand new OEM full exhaust system in the sale, as I knew the existing one didn't have much life left in it). Then he started sticking screwdrivers in the bod...

Re: 360 GLEi SE
Well the buyer hass written back to me with some photos showing rusty holes around 3 jacking points which weren’t there when I sold it, and asking for £425 of his money back to fix it. I’d told him welding had been done around the jacking points in the past and that they were of a good standard, whi...

Re: Cars that time forgot
My Dad had one. It had no reverse gear, and he used to drive in to parallel parking spots nose on, get out of the car, pick up the rear end and plonk it down in the spot to straighten it up.bogbasic wrote:Then there's the Bond Minicar....

Re: Cars that time forgot
FIAT 127s to be precise. I used to own a 127 when I were a lad, and when I first started visiting Yugolandia and drove these Yugos, I immediately recognised the appallingly loose gearchange and lousy driving position. Still loved my 127 (Sport) though.trabitom99 wrote:IIRC, those Yugos were based on Fiats?

Re: 360 GLEi SE
Sold to an enthusiast in Holland for the asking price (£2k). I'm taking it on my last drive to Harwich at the weekend. He'll take it from there and register it in Holland.

Re: 360 GLEi SE
I've got a feeling it won't sell quickly, wolfpack. Keep an eye out and it may well be still for sale in January. Autumn/just before Christmas is a pretty silly time to be trying to sell I expect!

Re: 360 GLEi SE
It's not the resistor pack. I've swapped that out and the known working replacement didn't do the trick. Local garage confirmed the fan motor is fine, but the signal isn't getting to it from the switch. Selling up because, well, frankly, I'm not using it enough to justify ownership. Just paid for ta...

Re: Daily 300's?
I've swapped the resisitor for a known good one, and the fan still won't start.
What is a resistor "pack" and what part of it is the thermal cut out? The thing I replaced is the lttle metal cagey thing with a coil inside it. What else is there to replace?

Re: Daily 300's?
I've been dailying my 360 GLEi SE saloon most of the summer. And it's just flown through the MOT yet again, no advisories. My heater fan problem is probably just a loose connection - the MOT centre tested the unit and it's live, but not getting any power to it. I guess it's a dials out and root arou...

Sadly, no. I am going to the Paralympics that weekend to watch the athletics.
Would you care to quote me a price for it, including P&P? I can do you PayPal if you use that.
Cheers,
Steve

Re: gear box
I have a slight baulk on first and an even slighter, occasional one on second. I changed the transmission fluid, and it made no noticeable difference. But still, it’s an easy job and probably worth doing anyway unless you’re going to replace the gearbox soon.
