If you want close ratios - go for the automatic, the 340 1.4 is one of the first cars ever to have the world beating 'stepless' CVT transmission, instead of those dreadful power sucking, fuel sucking 'normal automatic gearboxes' you must try one if your'e buying a 340, they're quite a bit quicker th...

The new CVT units were developed by the the developnent team that did the origonal DAF/Volvo unit, so it would fit in to a front wheel drive car. As well as three Volvo 300's I also owned two Daf's. The Variomatic lives on! Clivey.

Hello again all. With the petrol in the tank, the Haynes manual, and the refund you'd get on the tax disk, a buyer would get the car for free, even if it cost them £80 to buy it, if it were scrapped for the engine, the alloys would be worth somthing too, as they're in good condition. Clivey
