Re: 1982 CVT B14 with Clutch problems
Many thanks for both contributions so far. Macpaxton. I will try depressing the button on top of the gear lever over the weekend. Presumably, if there is no change in engagement speed, there is something wrong in the declutch servo. I can't find anything in Haynes on how to service these. Can you po...

1982 CVT B14 with Clutch problems
I'm having clutch problems. Basically the problem has these effects: 1) High revs required to get the car to move and, I suspect, once rolling, higher revs than I should have (but no rev counter on car), 2) Going downhill or coasting, when I take my foot off the throttle the clutch dis-engages the C...

CVT transmission Protective Cover
Hello all, does anybody know where one can obtain the two parts that make up this item? Alternatively can you run without them as mine are so cracked they vibrate and make a whirring noise that makes you think that a panel on the vehicle is about to drop off? My 343 is in the Canaries. This may infl...

Re: Can't press secondart CVT pulleys apart
Hello Volvodspec, thanks for that advice. 250kg axially is a lot of pulling when you are doing it at 90 degrees from axial and the slope you are pulling is about 30 degrees from the vertical. I wonder why the books and Volvo's Genuine Parts leaflet that they used to issue with their new belts say 'A...

Can't press secondary CVT pulleys apart
I got my 343 from a German lady about 2 years ago. She hadn't used it for 8 years (died 6 years ago). I've been working on it on and off since then and have finally got round to the CVT as the last thing to get it on the road. It has only done about 20 km since I bought it as the revs seemed very hi...

Re: Solex Carburettor Throttle Linkage
Thanks a lot, Mac,
yes, the car was originally imported from Germany, I think, but some of the paperwork I inherited with it is in Dutch, so who knows?
Anyway I have sent a PM to Robbert and let's hope he can help me out.
regards
Peter

Thanks for the replies.
Unfortunately the Carb is a Solex as fitted to continental 343s. The car was imported to the Canaries from Germany originally.
The link in the photo is much too long. I'm still hoping that somebody out there has the bit I need!

Throtle Linkage For Petrol engine 343 (1982)
My car has a Solex 32 SE1A carb. The bit I want goes between the male ball joint on the carb. throttle actuating lever and the accelerator cable. From memory it's about 20 mm long by 10 mm wide. It has the female half of the ball joint (with quick release mechanism) on one end and a cable grippiing ...

Solex Carburettor Throttle Linkage
Can somebody tell me where I can source a Throttle Linkage for my petrol engined 1982 343? I sent the Solex 32 SE1A carb away to be refurbished and left the linkage in a bubble pack for safe keeping. Unfortnately my son sent the pack to the recyling without realising the small linkage was inside! Do...

CVT drive belts and other rubber bits
Hi, I'm new to the 343 and just registered today. When I'm not in the UK I live part-time on the Canary Island of La Palma and a re-patriating German gave me a 28 year old red 343 with CVT. It had been garaged for 8 years and took a bit of effort (and money) to get it roadworthy and through the the ...

Re: Presale of doorhandle seals
Just registered. I am a new 343 owner on the Canary Island of La Palma. I need 2 please. They can either be mailed here or to my UK address and paid in euros or sterling. I realise that I will not be eligible for the presale price.
