Hi Evoman and thanks for your reply. I think that's what has happened as it went all of a sudden as they were driving home. Will it require new struts or are these seats available on there own?

Many thanks for your reply Tom. Can these spring seats collapse and be pushed down onto the tyre by the spring then? I think that must be what's happened

Hi Guys, I'm a newbie on here and have only just joined in the hope of getting some technical advice. I don't own a volvo 340 myself, but my daughters boyfriend does and he has a problem with his OSF suspension. The cup at the base of the spring is rubbing on the tyre and has nearly burnt through it...
