Re: '85 360 GLS

Yes the shift light is quite rare. I first saw it in my 2nd 360, an '85 360GL. A 360GLS i had a little while ago had it so i yoinked it out and am keeping it for my GLT.

Re: Ambient Temperature Gauge and Sensor fitting

I thinks it's more of a case of lining the physical cable in the sleeve up with it's hole in the back. I can get mine roughly seated and secured and it'll shake around, but if i reach up under the dash and shift it i can make it better or worse.

Re: Ambient Temperature Gauge and Sensor fitting

Not really had a problem removing the speedo-cable from the instrument panel - its more of a problem getting it back on again, but still not too bad. I take it you are also planning on removing the steering wheel - I never managed to do anything useful with it left on. Its a bit delicate removing t...

Re: Ambient Temperature Gauge and Sensor fitting

You'll need
-ratchet or breaker bar
-extension bar
-think it's a 23mm socket for the steering wheel nut -11mm spanner for the vac nipple
-phillips screwdriver. I usually have a stubby one for the metal plate screws and a normal length one for the cluster screws

Re: Ambient Temperature Gauge and Sensor fitting

-pop the settering wheel cover off, get your fingers in behind and pull. You'll get a small beep or two, nothing major -undo the 2 blade connectors on the horn pad -undo the nut and remove the steering wheel -Undo the metal strip at the top -Undo the speedo cable -Unplug the 2 plugs at the bottom of...

Re: Boot compartment doors / flaps

But so far i have: Centre console cassette tape holder Electric mirrors 2x pairs of genuine fog light covers Front foot well speakers Factory shift light Full bodykit 2...

Re: Sluggish Starting after a run

Yea reconnect the csi and see if that helps anything. I know with the later 5 pot whiteblocks a failed temp sensor can cause a massive amount of fueling and starting issues.

Re: New to V3M but not to Volvo's

Welcome back to the 360 life. 50k miles on a 36 year old car is pretty impressive. I hope it is as clean as it sounds. An original one is becoming very rare. I too understand the ailment of being unable to work on cars. I'm epileptic and had to pull the bumper off my 960, which pushed me to my limit...
