Re: Welding Precautions...?
I doubt, the 360 has an ECU -did not find this in the Haynes manual, covering 340 and 360-. On my 340, which has a Renix-module, I took off the 3 connectors, and disconnected the battery on * and - posts, when I -electrically- welded on the car. This gave no problems. AddOn: workshops welding on car...

angular position sensor?
Hi,
My car: 340 1.4 petrol, renix coil.
Where is the angular position sensor located (I know: under the bonnet ) and can it be un- and remounted from above?
Special tools needed?
Thank you.

removing doorlock
On my 340 1.4 -a streetside parker- some criminal moron from my neighbourhood seems to have put some material in my drivers side door lock. Nothing visible from the outside, but the key can be hardly turned: movement of it is clearly less than on the other unaffected door. Spraying some oil into the...

glueing rubber on body paintwork
On my 340 hatch I have a rubber strip on one of my doors (outside, 'anti-bump', factory-fit), that is partially loose. What's the best way to re-glue this? (normal household glue fit for rubber e.g.)? I ask while I reglued a rubber sealstrip in my tailgate (3rd door), relevant to prevent water-ingre...

Re: Anyone who has any definite answer on the clutch/prop/transmission grind?
I do doubt, a 'dynamic' phenomenon as grinding can be caused by static items as mounting blocks.
I.m.h.o. grinding refers to rotational movement.

Milling sound below car?
Hi, Car data: V340, 14.4S, CVT, 1988, ~170000 km's Problem: recently I found the following: after a local drive, some 10-15 km's I halted at home, left the engine running. Put the shifter in 'N', gave a light short strike on the accelerator pedal, a sort of 'milling' sound starts under? the car. Aft...

Renix problem on 14.4 cvt car
Hi, About the Renix assy: on these units the electronic components are enclosed in/under a poured-in mass (sort of rubbery stuff). After many years my unit shows cracks in that mass. I could imagine, dampness is entering these cracks and up to the electonic parts (the mass should hide and protect) a...

Not starting, selector dependent on vario
Hi folks, Some months ago, my V340 1.4S with vario started the following problem: about 3 out of 10 times the car would not start on the key (and choke when cold), despite the selector being in N. (I get no reaction on turning the key). Taking it out of N and in again a few times did help, and the e...

CVT (on V340) related
Hi,
Can anyone tell me the inner diameter of the vacuum hoses that slide on the primary pulley?
Can anyone tell where the faq -by Mac- about the cvt-system has gone, because I cannot find it.
Thank you,
oldscoolcart

Re: Renix testing for functionality possible?
I am not glad to write this, but I changed the parts you mention here about 2 months ago for brandnew ones from my local parts supplier (does supply to dealers and workshops too) and the car has not stopped with the running problem i mentioned: it was a bit less intense as before, but not gone... So...

Re: Renix testing for functionality possible?
Update: I just removed the Renix from the car. When I look at it's back, there is a part of the backplate which is poured in with a kind of rubbery/elastic mass (pale yellow in colour). I guess, below that mass are electronic components and/or maybe a PCB (electronic board). In the mass, there are c...
