hatch360 As Chris said, you have to cut the panels. But take them out first! Might sound bloody obvious but I know someone who tried to do something similar with the panels still attached..... Pull the panels out, use a template to cut the holes and make a spacer up, and then screw the spacer into t...

No, they were 4x7's or something equaly wierd. There is mounting points behind the plastic. Just cut the plastic to the right shape and put some spacers in there and you can fit whatever you like (although make sure you can fit the parcel shelf around them..) There's a post somewhere on here "What k...

Well, It's done. Access was a PITA and one of the bolts had seized so I ended up removing half of the steering column and putting it in a vise..... But, it's now back together and seems ok. It does feel like a different car, but it's pissing down with rain/sleet, foggy and cold so I'm not really in ...

Steering Damper
Hi I just got a new "Steering Vibration Damper" (according to Mr Haynes). Volvo call it a "Coupling S/Column" Anyways, the part arrived because they failed my Warrant of Fitness (similar to MOT. Every 6 months) because my one is currently in two pieces. I thought the steering was a little wobbly :oo...

Oh man! You like big displacement and simple tech but you no likey American Muscle :o From what I've seen of the Holden, it can nearly make it round corners... nuff said ;) But they are not it's forte. Australia doesnt really have too many corners so wasting good enigineers time figuring out how to...

The only problem with Commodore's and Falcon's is that (until VERY recently) their technology level has been average at best. Even the newer engines are pretty lame compared to most of your Euro or Jap cars. Not that having 4 or 6 litres going through the rear end with no (well, maybe a little) trac...

Go the twin side exhaust like Adam (? my memory is not good  ) has. You do realise that it's not actually going to make the car go faster dont you? It'l scrape on those deep gutters, make the cops take an interest, and make you look like every other hoonadore or japmobile out there.... Be a li...

That makes sense - taking power from the FI line - seeing as it used to be FI. It was a hell of a lot quicker with the 2 carbs than FI (a freind had one) BUT we used to joke that it cost $5 just to start the engine. It seemed like it anyway, and that was back in '99 when fuel was 70c/litre (It's aro...

My girlfreind used to have a Nissan 260Z that had a 280Z engine in it. They had ripped the Fuel Injection off and put two huge Hitachi carbs on it. Dont know what the wiring was like (I assume a solenoid etc) but it used to kick the pump on for 3-4 seconds when you put the key to ignition but then r...

d3k4y0, I agree. I find that 3/4 seems to be better than WOT - But only below 2500. If I give it some stick but keep the foot above 3/4 until I hit around 2500 and then feed it in I notice the difference until I hit about 4400 and then it's just noise no matter what.... The power curve seems pretty ...

[quote="hatch360"]Spare tyre in the engine bay  not here in oz. /quote] But then in Oz you only get 260GLT's. Maybe the odd GLS. Either way, they all have 2litre Redblocks. Little hard to fit a tyre in there along with that big lump o steel! :P Cheers EDIT Should be 3 60GLT's. 2litre 260? hmm...
