Re: What engine do i have ( 1.7 DL 1987 )

Does make much sense, how can only be not for a particular model? That means it fits all cars but one! AFAIK there is only one type of 1.7 340 engine, the B172K. No. Two types, old and new. 124 and 125 tooth timing belt. If you cab spot the difference on the outside I don't know! But I would think ...

Re: Urgent ! Rear wheel cylinder

Would there be much trouble if one uses 340 cylinders on a 360, or vice versa?

Thanks
No you can not. Try bleeding one when the bleednipple is on the bottom.

Re: b204e swap

The b204 shortblock is different, so you would need to make some motormounts. You can put the head on the b200e but that would involve changing or modifing the pistons. And getting a a right timingbelt kit for the swap. The stock b200e full system can not adapt, so modifing or changing has to be don...

Re: EZK / LH2.4 360 crank sensor

Renix is 2-wire, lh2.4 is 3-wire. You can easily make a bracket to hold the 940 sensor. Same idea as the original bracket but then weld a nut 90 degrees turned on the bracket. Spacing between sensor and flywheel is critical.

Looking at you pictures, why does the idle air valve have a airfilter on it? It should regulate the amount of air going around the throttleplate at idle.

Yes, you are right!

Re: wheel stud sizes

I'd rather not drill the holes. Does anyone know the diameter of the original wheel studs? I have found a supplier for 12,8 and 13,0 (and 14,2 and 14,3). I was sceptical at first about drilling, but when you put the hub under a pillar drill it goes right through and getting the new ones in is easy....

Re: My new barn find

It being a 88 GLE it probably has injection, and after 12 years I would not be suprised if the injectors are gunked up with old fuel. The fuel pump and filters will be aswell.. I would drain and flush the tank, replace all the hoses and filters (those cotton braided hoses dry and brake are the worst...

Re: Trallas Volvo 360GLS

That is part of the renix system, which only came on the 300 series! B19a is carburetted with point ignition, b21et had kjet with point ignition if I'm right. I've heard that you might be able to use a cranksensor from a Volvo 440, 460 or 480. But not sure of that.

Airbox probably has to come out again, hmm.
LH2.4 harness goes through, you can even use the grommet on the harness :D

That should be the one, so they did move the hole in the bulkhead.
