I've been surfing V300mania further!

This thread gives an excellent resume of the carbs on the 1.4. I think that we're looking for a carb from the 4E engine.

What an amazing find! I'm very envious! Wouter will be astonished when he reads the story! The original Weber carb which I have on my 1980 343 is known to be troublesome and I still have idling problems with mine which Wouter certainly improved at Princethorpe. I understand that the carbs were ...

Try feeling the temperature of the hoses where they disappear through the bulkhead to the inside the car from the engine compartment. The ram effect of the air as the car moves forward should introduce warm air into the car even if the fan is not working. If the hoses are not warm, then maybe no ...

Just possible that the voltage regulator has failed which supplies a constant voltage to the instruments, regardless of battery voltage. I suspect it's transistorised in the 360. If it's the same as the 340 the voltage regulator for the instruments will be somewhere on the printed circuit board ...

You will be able to fit the wings and then make the indicator holes afterwards. You may be better making the holes and rustproofing behind before you fit them.

Good luck with the purchase!

Are there many 340s to be seen on the roads in Denmark? I'm amazed at the speed with which they have ...

Thanks all for your helpful advice. I've had various hoses off the car this weekend and flushed out with water. Heater was perfectly clear but found a blockage at the water pump where the heater return hose goes into a pipe under the pump. Gave the radiator a flush as well and added new anti-freeze ...

Heater not working 1980 340 Vario

The heater shows no signs of getting hot in my 340; the flow pipe from the water pump only gets slightly warm near to the pump, so nothing is flowing. Bleed valve in heater plenum chamber spews out water when opened. I see a thermostatic valve on the top of the transmission tunnel on the passenger ...

Hello Paul

A very interesting thread! You kept that coupe quiet! Saw a picture of it next to Pedro's coupe! Looks very nice and I'm orange with envy!

Have just acquired a 1980 round-nosed 343 Variomatic which spent most of its life in S Africa. MoT'd last week and I hope to have it on the road ...

Sounds like a vacuum leak. That would certainly affect carburation in a big way. If you can't engage gear it may be that the clutch vacuum servo cannot operate because of a leak and this means that the prop shaft is revolving when you try to engage gear. Though if idle is very slow, I would expect ...
