Saveable?

This doesn't bother me too much but it would be good to have a nice straight car. http://imageshack.com/a/img594/3861/5q6o.png http://imageshack.com/a/img89/9311/x43p.png http://imageshack.com/a/img802/25/88f0.png 1 - DIY and get the dent out myself, get it pained for free at work. 2 - Buy a new pan...

Re: Diff oil in front shocks.

Its what I've been told to do. Putting thick diff oil in them to stiffen them up rather than buying uprated ones.

Re: Diff oil in front shocks.

Youll need to start by removing the strut; so jack the car up and pop it on stands Wheels off Undo; ball joint, steering arm, top mount and take the caliper off the brake disk. Remove the strut from the car and then having compressed the springs, you can undo the damper top nut and remove the top m...

Do you have the rev counter? If so, would it fit for my 340 1.7; if so how easy would it be to do?

Re: How did you remove your front suspension?

Spring compressors are a must!!! Anyone attempting to undo the top mount without a set is a prime candidate for a darwin award ... although the struts ive just removed from my vario could be undone without, as the springs have been cut so much that they have ~1/4" of play under full extension of th...

How can I remove my spoiler?

Probably really easy but I thought I would ask before I go cutting it all off and messing with it.

How would I go about removing the rear spoiler from my 88 340 1.7 GL?

Re: How did you remove your front suspension?

Sometimes that method does not work even with an impact gun. I have a pair of mole grips with plastic cover to grip the shock stem with, using them and a spanner works ok for me. You must be very careful not to damage the stem if the damper is to be reused That's the thing, I don't want to round it...

How did you remove your front suspension?

It's a stupid question to some, but I can't undo the top nut without rounding it off from my 340 GL.

I know you can do it with a impact gun but that's a bit hard to do right now.

Is there any other way of removing it so I can install the lowering springs I have bought.

Any help is great 340pw
