The last weeks been a bit quiet. Swapped the ridiculous gear knob for my mates snapped old E34 one. same time I had to adjust the reverse gate as 2nd gear was always a struggle, its sweet now. At 11psi my set up required 97 RON minimum

I ran my 360 10:1 CR at 11psi on LH2.4 and matching EZK. It had no problems at all. The retarding of ignition timing by the knock sensor due to pre ignition, would have no effect on said pre ignition. Now the question is, how much the CR is originally with this set up. Based on the model year it has to be 10:1, but I agree with You, that the double gasket suppose to lower the CR. In this case the CR is 9,2:1. This is the only CR that I know about, besides the 10:1. Please let me know, if You know...

The domed pistons I believe were fitted to the higher compression ratio cars, prior to 1987-ish? Perhaps the bottom end has been changed and the second head gasket added to lower the compression ratio? I don't think it's at all likely that that dual head gaskets were fitted from the factory. Now the engine is out of the car, and I've a few questions.

First of all, Is it possible that the factory used double head-gasket originally?, Shouldn't the piston be plane in a B200E?
