New member can't register

Someone posted on the V300M Facebook page to say he'd registered 2 months ago but it hasn't yet been confirmed. His name is Jeroen Dewulf.

No pilots licence required

Ok so I don't actually have a 340 yet so it's not a build thread as such, but I do have this!!! http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e34/rikkimillar1/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20141129_134425598_zpsldmlwmdk.jpg~original 81,000 miles and it's an auto so it should be relatively unstressed and the engine is sw...

Re: Stripping a 480 Turbo Auto

You will need the pilot bearing (all 400 engines would) and yes, you need the flywheel. Flywheel is specific to the 4x0 turbo (60-2 trigger pattern vs 22-2-22-2) and even of the turbos there are two types for the two clutch sizes. With a separate trigger wheel you could widen your search but I'd wa...

Re: Stripping a 480 Turbo Auto

The 480 is quite rare, probably more rare than 300 series. This is a 300 forum so not so many experts on 480s. Most 300 transplants come from Renaults (340) or 200/700/900 series volvos (360). I think the 480 should fit straight in to a 340 with an extra pilot bearing possibly to link into the long...

Re: Stripping a 480 Turbo Auto

It is a shame to scrap a good 480 as these are getting rare quickly. But what: -Is the interior like, especially the front passenger seat? -Are the pop-ups like? Someone was asking me about rear light clusters a few months back. They weren't desperate, just looking for a spare set, so keep them asi...

Stripping a 480 Turbo Auto

Hi everyone. Found this forum about 48 hours ago after stumbling across a post on Pistonheads about the humble Volvo 340 becoming very popular as a drift car. Since then I mentioned the word Volvo to one mate, who said he thought another mate had some sort of Volvo turbo thing. Long story short I'm ...

Re: Just another wannabe drifter

Gone are the days when they went for 99p but the low-end of the figures you quoted sounds about right for a semi-good running car needing some work but if you can find someone local with one they just want to get rid of, you could probably pay a lot less. Cool thanks. I had no idea there was such a...

Re: Just another wannabe drifter

Good luck finding a nice car and looking after it. There seem to be quite a few on sale these days after a lull over the last few months but maybe that's the usual pattern, although the number on ebay does seem to have gone up a lot more than usual! Yeah I'll treat whatever I get as a semi classic ...

Just another wannabe drifter

Hi, love it or hate it I'm interested in getting into drifting and my weapon of choice is to be the humble Volvo 300 series. There are a couple of reasons behind this, one being the relative cost compared to a high spec BMW or Jap car and the second is that when I was at school my mates mum used to ...
