Hunt around the 'net to find your local industrial chemical supplier? No idea if they would sell small quantities to individual members of the public though...

Or bribe the chemistry lab assistant at your local school ;)

It does depend on the colour. They managed to match my white car pretty well, but as you say, they are expensive for the quantity you get...

just make sure they are properly adjusted. Nothing more annoying at night than someone coming the other way with badly adjusted HID lights

... at the bottom of the driveway... Would that be a long, gravel driveway with several un-necessary long sweeping bends in it? ;) I have a fairly long list of cars I want to own, so hopefully by 10 years time I'll have got through a few of them! (and if possible, still have most of them in the exc...

I sometimes have a similar problem with mine, the starter clicks, but doesn't engage. It only ever happens when hot, so I'm assuming a tired solenoid that doesn't like being hot (it's directly under the exhaust manifold...). Most of the time letting the car roll a foot or two somehow makes it work!

Also take the plugs out and turn the engine over every so often, to keep everything lubricated and stop it siezing up. I suppose you'd have to do that fairly often then? I'm not sure how long it takes, but after a certain amount of time I'd expect all the oil to be in the sump and the engine to be ...

And the answer for securing it is obvious too - Gaffer Tape!

The idea of axle stands is to stop the tyres flatspotting with the weight on the same place for so long. Make sure you leave it with the handbrake off, so that doesn't sieze. Also take the plugs out and turn the engine over every so often, to keep everything lubricated and stop it siezing up.

ummmm....

Why is anyone on here even considering supporting their needless destruction of perfectly savable old cars??? Just think of the heart attack Chris'll have if he sees a 300 there!

Go to a proper race meet instead...

well we've established from previous threads that most people here don't agree with 17's on 300's, so it was never going to be an ideal place to try and sell them! As Chris says, I have a set of OEM alloys (currently waiting for tyres...) for the car in my avatar. In fact the Dolomite Sprint was the...

he's talking $AUS tho ;) It's a simple matter of supply and demand. You can get wheels like that for ~£300-350 a set new, so no-one is going to pay that for a scruffy set with mismatched tyres. At least, not on here where people have a fair idea and common sense... What's the ebay market like for th...
