Re: Renix testing for functionality possible?

Re: Seat cover removal and head-rest restoration
Hey, to get covers off, just work you way around removing the hog rings (get new ones) separate seat back from base.
Look at my thread (duchess the cvt) I think I show how to do it.

Re: New 340 owner
Hey folks... Just thought I'd say hello. Normally I'm a classic VW owner, but when a 340 came up for sale in our village my curiosity got the better of me! £100 later and I'm the proud owner of a LHD 83 1.4 DL CVT. 50k original miles, full service history, all the books etc. Put it through and MOT ...

Re: Duchess The Volvo 340 CVT
I had thought about the big trims, but I don't have a set for a 5 door, but I do have a set of the thin trims which I think will look nicer.MCHUDD wrote:Hi Ben.
Class one. What about some chunky side trim.
Cheers Mark.

Re: Duchess The Volvo 340 CVT
Not so sure on the chrome gutter trim when the rest of the car has black trim but it's looking good. I reckon it needs some 360 style thicker side trims to match up with the bumper inserts. Most of my chrome was faded and crap, so decided to just leave a little chrome around, bumper a gutters and d...

Are you going to leave the rub strips off? I used to definitely prefer it without them but I'm undecided now.
