Re: Spain Classic Raid
What do you mean by caravan gear? low hold More like a mid hold  It is between the mountain switch and the normal. Basically a ´sports´ setting. Got the extra 12V socket in and swapped the ashtray for a rev counter. Looks nicely uncluttered. Counting down now; we´re off Friday at sunrise.

Re: Spain Classic Raid
Good luck! Liking the mods :) We´ve also dropped in a hotter cam and swapped the paper air filter for a K&N one. The only thing left to do to the engine is switch the wires of ignition timing sensor to give a mite more advance. For the rest we took only a few bits off. All in all about 50 kilos. No...

Re: Lightweight bonnet
Euh, I think I will go for the guaranteed lightweight one to spend money on.
I know from experience that glass fiber has a looooong learning curve. Never mind the gel coat.

Re: Lightweight bonnet
Btw he ships insured. @Benji1985; Well, you can do the bonnets too if you prefer :-) Have a look at the Pesch.cz site and see if you can up with the quality and price. He says he can have it done in a a few weeks after receiving the original. After all the talk about light weight hoods I could find ...

Applies to me to     Nevertheless, I am prepared to take the 'risk' for the price. I think all interested parties should be a bit flexible in this as it is not an off the shelf with 2 years warranty car product. Anyway, he will probably need a hood sent as example an...

Lightweight bonnet
Buenos chicos. When preparing an Alfa 75 I came across Pesch in Czechosovakia. He made me a fiberglass bonet for 90 Euro. Prices have risen since to a staggering 93 Euros including VAT  He was also very reasonable in shipping costs. I have dropped him a mail about making one for the 300 and no ...

Re: 340 cvt for raid
Oh man, 8 days of incredible motoring fun. So much so that we decided on 2017 during the event. Although it is not a flat out race; not a speed event, for most of the route it is VERY hard to stay on the ball even with a relatively modern proper 4x4. We are not aiming for a lot better, in fact not a...

Re: 340 cvt for raid
Brilliant, hopefully you won't be bottoming out anywhere now :) Well, there is always hope, but realistically there is more chance on winning the lottery  The main raid we want to do is some 2500 kilometers of dirt 'roads' through Spain, crossing several serious mountain ranges and two deserts...
