480/340 engine swap
Can't find a thread specifically about this, so here goes... I am hoping to improve my 89 1.7 340 with a fuel injection set up, and would like to know if the B18EP engine from a 480 is a relatively straightforward swap? Any thoughts on what's involved/what parts I would need/what the pitfalls might ...

Any ideas what's missing from my 89 340GL fuse box?
A relay I guess, anyone got a part number?
Thanks.

Re: 89 340 for classic trials
Thanks for that. I had noticed the 360 wheels, but it seems a shame to fit alloys that will probably get damaged!! I think that 4x100 pcd steel wheels are easy enough to come by, but I'm not sure of the offset. My current trials car has 14" 175 80 tyres, so I might see if I can squeeze a taller tyre...

89 340 for classic trials
Hi, looking for some/any info about prepping my 89 1.7 340 for use on classic trials. Suspension, mostly, looking for another 2 or 3 inches of ground clearance, preferably with adjustment. Coilovers presumably? Advice on spring rates would be most welcome!! Any thoughts on extracting a little more p...

Re: newbie with 89 340
Blue one advertised on the Volvo forum? Is it running? http://www.volvo300mania.com/uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=16742 Might be worth messaging him for all of the details. No, Ebay special listed in the wrong place!! Not running ATM, but Volvo dealership service history gives me hope. Going to try...

Re: newbie with 89 340
It's a one-owner-from-new car that's been stood for a while.
Very sound, but smells a bit inside.
I couldn't find anything around the forum either, so I guess it's OK to start a new topic.

newbie with 89 340
Just thought I would introduce myself. Grew up in Volvos, my Dad had loads of them from 144's through to 760's. Spent time in Sweden some years back where Volvos just make perfect sense. Just acquired an 89 340 1,7 to use for Classic trials, can't wait to get it on the road!! I am going to sift thro...

missing electrical component
Does anybody know what electrical component is missing from my recently acquired 1989 340? It's on the front bulkhead, just above the servo (RHD)
