Try a Metrench style socket or shifter on the bolt/nut (the type of tool that contacts the flats of the hex nut/bolt, not the corners) - they have a bit of movement until they contact fully but you can apply a safe amount of high torque with them without rounding off the nuts. Try tightening the stu...

Hi, I'm guessing from my experience with m/cycle carbies that the needle and seat on the carby float bowl aren't closing properly, causing the carby to flood. This will cause excess fuel to enter carby throat, making mixture adjustment impossible, rough running as engine tries to cope with poor air/...

Rallying a Brick
Took the 360 for a flog on the weekend to check a Gravel Rally event. Noticed that these things actually handle pretty well on the dirt. After driving thousands of Km on dirt in a Landcruiser for work I was impressed with how solid and confident it felt. Has anybody modified a 360GLT for rallying? W...

Hi All, thanks for the replies yet again. Feel much better with the suggestions posted. I need to catch up with my brother this weekend so a quick 200km flog up the freeway should de-coke the little bugger. Will check the air induction system. Can it jamb closed (this vehicle hasn't seen any use for...

Hi Guys, a small question about fuel economy. Should you see the fuel guage needle drop steadily to the reserve (yellow light flashing) from the half full point as you drive these cars (a 360GLT B19E 5 spd) over a distance of about 40 km max? Sorry I can't tell how many km exactly as the speedo does...

G'day Mac, thanks for the directional assistance, especially with the rear of fuse box. I'll check it out in the morning. Vehicle has sat for an unknown period of time prior to my purchase so likely every connection I check could assist in overcoming problem. I'll follow Stuntman's advice too as mos...

Lights On Then Nobody Home
I've recently purchased an '84 360 GLT and spent most time rebuilding it, rather than enjoying the driving. I thought i'd change this by taking it for a drive the other night. With the engine going fine, after refueling and leaving the service station, as I turned the lights on the engine shut down ...
