Re: The most common subject of discussions, weather
-39,5C was the highest numbers at cars temp meter today. WV Caddy tdi(work car) was quite cold car to drive like any newer diesel car without extra heater(webasto etc). Putting post to postbox was "interesting" job.

Re: volvo 960 questions.
1. B230fk (LPT) an d b230ft (HPT). Engines are identical, only difference is turbo's wastegate. 2. You can use bleeding to increase boost to 0,7-0,8bar. For bigger boost you need chip and stock turbo works with 1,0-1,1bar max boost. 3. Cooling aint a problem. Cooler can be changed to some midsize ch...

Re: What size speakers fit in the front footwell?
HEHE!! yeah it be a 2.4k amp http://www.pyleaudio.com/itemdetail.asp?model=PLA2220 2400W peak power, but real power is far far away from promises. With 2x20A fuses it can make only ~290W (RMS)@14.4Volts. Amps common(AB-class) efficiency is around 50%. Thats why i dont use cheap and unknown brands.

Re: Front Coil Springs...
If i remember right, 240s rear springs will fit. There is avaible 3 different stiffness rear springs to 240; saloon springs, estate springs and extra load estate springs. Those are longer than 300s springs.

Re: redblock questions
1. You have b19 so you dont have 9mm/13mm rods. Those were used in b2x0. You have m-rods which are as strong or stonger than 13mm rods.

Chipped T-6 will make 300+ hp. Bigger single turpo + injectors and chip tuning will make easy 400+ hp.SteveP wrote:I think that engine would be better suited to a manual facelift 960... replace the two tiny turbos (11c??) with a larger item and make an easy 300+bhp

Re: Building your own williams engine
8 valve and 16v blocks are a bit different. 16v blocks have one oil channel more than 8v if i remember right.
Why not search some lightly crashed car or whitout MOT? Often whole car is only bit expensive than just engine and you can sell rest of car in parts.

Re: boring out a 2L 360
B200 and B230 block look exact same outside, but both have only b200 or b230 mark on side of block. Remove that b230 text from block and paint it and no one can say which one that is without removing cylinder head. And only volvo enthusiast will realise that. But if you want bore out, use those air ...

b19-23: 24mm
b2x0: 23mm
Easiest way to get bigger is buying b230f engine or just bottom end. Some parts need to take from old engine to make everything work, but rest is plug 'n' play.

Re: boring out a 2L 360
What engine you have? B200 or B19? Both are possible to bore out, but it is easier and cheaper to change straight to b23/b230. Whit b19 you can use b21 pistons. B200 there ain't anything pistons from volvo engines avaible. I have heard that 92mm aftermarket pistons for beetle(air engined) are used, ...

Re: increase steering lock?
The lock on a 300 wins for a stock car... it's just getting it. Is adding more lock a common drift mod then? Yes, it is. Japanese cars don't have as much steering lock as needed. Steering rack and track rod link at steering spindle need to be modified. RWD Volvos have very good amount of that as st...
