It's a funny thing: I find that if I need a 340 they're as hard to come by as rocking horse muck. On the other hand, once you've got one you're happy with world+dog seem to be selling mint examples of the things.



Have you tried the breakers? 340s often get scrapped for no good reason ...

VWs been done loads of times, plus engine hangs over back axle so far that you can wheely down the road in 2nd gear

but not too good with kids on the rear bench seat, unless you want to loose them

I've got a 1.7 that failed its MOT on welding recently. I know you need a 1.4, but I don't want much for the car & it seems to be in reasonable nick, other than the welding. Emissions were mentioned on the MOT, but the car was standing for 8 months beforehand, and they didn't let the engine ...

im after a 340 dl it can be mot failure, accident damaged ( but not cat A )
must have V5 docs, anything will be considered as long as the following is in fairly good order - engine, gearbox, rear suspension, drive shafts etc.

other option is that if someone has all the bits listed above then i ...

Hmm, tempting. I do need one or two panels and possibly a seat from the Redline. Trouble is:
a. I don't really have the money at the moment, and
b. I've got nowhere to put it.
