Rough Idle on cold Start

Hey guys, When i start my 86 GLT in the morning it starts very rough and idles at about 300 rpm. After about 10 seconds everything is fine and its idling at 900 as usual. I heard it could be a problem with the Airflow meter and that this is a common problem on the early Jetronic cars. Any ideas?

I'm sure that it will weigh more than 2 kgs. The compressor alone weighs about 5. Plus then you have the cooler (in front of the radiator) as well as all the little bits like condensor and expansion bottle. Plus i'm not sure what bits are lurking under the dash.

As for the aircon stuff, if you are serious about it send me a list of the stuff and then we'll ha...

Brake Upgrades

I have a 86 360 GLT and enjoy 'spirited' driving. On several occasions i have stoped and found flames coming from the pads and glowing discs. I then changed the fluid to dot 4 and also the front alloys to series 1 type for better cooling and while this helped its still not great. Has anyone done an ...

Heater Fan Fix

Depending on the year of your 300 there is a resistor either inside or outside the plastic fan housing. I have a 86 360 glt so mine was on the inside. Test it for continuity with a multimeter and see what happens. Chances are that it will be the resistor is stuffed (a common problem). Hope its of so...
