Re: Light wight flywheel
PO-Metalli (PO-Metal) here in Finland makes steel flywheels for redblocks which weight from 5 to 7kg. Cost for one is around 300-500 euros. http://i1013.photobucket.com/albums/af254/hyvoneju/18112007194.jpg Another shop is BlingFactory which also has a webshop and ships world wide. http://www.blingf...

Re: What's happening in garages?
Thanks Chris and and MCHUDD! It looks better in pics though. :) Nothing major, but the doors (except the one I repaired) are bit rusty from the lower seams and there's a bad repaint (flaked lacquer) on the right side rear wing. Doors will be sorted out though as I've aquired four non-rusty doors and...

Re: Best Renix f7p
Well mostly engines like described in my post, are built just for fun, from parts which you have at your shop laying around. "Useless parts, let's see what can we build from these" Usually engines like that are also used in folk-race cars (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folkrace), where the car has to...

Re: Best Renix f7p
Not optimal, but it can be made to work for sure. It's hard to say though what unit would be best as there's only the one advance curve graph floating around which is also posted in the topic which Dai mentioned. Though by looking the green books, B200E untill -86 would have the "hottest" ignition c...

Re: baking engine mounts.
Baking old engine mounts pretty much is a band aid and doesn't even work with hydraulic mounts, or the type of "hanger"-mount which the 360 mount is. If the rubber has stretched and cracked, the baking won't doo any good because the rubber has already lost it's original form. You can stiffen up comm...

Re: Torque tube bearings
There must be reason why volvo dropped down to two bearings. Be interested to know why. Unfortunately reasons for this kind of "product development" are usually purely economical. At the latest it was in the mid 80's when most of the companies started to follow the rule, if the part will have "enou...

Re: headlight flash
High beams shouldn't stay on when pulling the stalk if the head light switch is on the 0-position. If the switch is on the 2-position, then the high beams stay on when the stalk is pulled.
Headlights should be always on when ignition is on.

Re: Torque tube bearings
Bearings are mounted on metal carriers which have rubber surface between the torque tube and the bearing carrier. There's a plastic fitment ring between the bearing and the splined axle. All of these parts can be separated and the bearings can be also changed. Plastic fitment ring is glued on to the...

Re: B200 Bore-out to 2.3l?
I wouldn't bore a B200 block anymore than for ~90-92mm max! Stock bore for B200 block is 89mm and B230 block has 96mm bore. Cast for these blocks is different so a B200 block with 96mm bore would have very think walls!

Re: Prop clamp bolts
Also any decent bolt shop can supply you with high grade (10.9 or higher) allen head bolts with suitable length. Just make sure to change both as the ones which bolt shop sell are usually 1 or 2mm longer, so it might cause imbalance if only one is changed.

Re: 360 engine mounts
Stock mounts are hydraulic ones. There are two chambers and there's a flow control disc between the two chambers. Here's one mount which I cut up when I had the same problem as you did have.
