Re: info on CR3001 + tape diagnosis
Hi, cheers for the replys :) The thing that made me think it wan't the belt was the fact i can't hear a motor spinning at all. I did try moving the gear that drives the tape spool nearest the opening and it freely turns with no resistance at all as if it's got no belt. So would a snapped belt stop t...

Re: info on CR3001 + tape diagnosis
got the stereo now :) Wasn't a straight fit even though it came from a 360, had to remove two strips of stainless steel which ran along the top of the unit and unscrew the two square locating blocks off the sides as they made it slide in too low for the supports. Fits fine just on the two side clips...

Re: Nimminz' GLT Turbo Daily
yeah, brakes are gonna be a bugger to fit if i want to keep things OEM look and i'd prefer reliability with using standard struts rather than coilovers, its a daily not a track car and i'm not after mega lows. If the brakes don't sell i'll look into using some FWD offset wheels and big ass spacers. ...

Re: 50 shades of grey - '87 GLT
I'd go with anthricite 100% although the gold and the white both look class I always felt my GLT felt rather heavy engine wise and quite like a diesel. It's always been quite hard work keeping it running right replacing ignition parts at very regular intervals. I'd never go back to a n/a one now tho...

Re: B200 flywheels
seem to remember it needs to be a m45/m47 box not the M90, Not entirely sure but something to look into
a trigger wheel mounted to the crank pulley could be a solution and would be far easier/cheaper than trying to get a 360 changed

As for the stake nuts, sand the bottom of the nut down, making sure its flat. won't need much and it'll tighten to a different place allowing you to stake it again

Re: Nimminz' GLT Turbo Daily
turned out to be timing belt being a tooth out. now runs perfect. idles a tad wierd but reckon thats to do with having no speed sensor but is 100% livable with. ran it for a day at 3psi, then we turned it up to 0.8 bar or 11.72 psi :) still works amazingly will give a proper update later with some b...

Re: volvo 360 wont rev out flat
Sounds similar to the problem I had, it was the timing belt. The car did run pretty well even though it was wrong just was flat and slow to rev and misfired a bit

Re: B230et rebuild.
Looks like some LH parts in there for sure. The 2 red wires with large spade connectors in the pic above go to perm +. They sit in a box that connects to up to 6 other smaller spaded red wires feeding things like ign. switch and fusebox. I don't know much about motronic but have stripped a 940 LH lo...
