Re: Fail car
I know it's likely not what you want to hear given the current progress Jani... But on a non car related front, that is a lovely photo. What sort of insect is it? The floor pan rust you found is the same as I had on Fake, the box that is under there makes that a pain I know. Keep at it mate. I don'...

Re: Fail car
Today only little helper was working with car, but as you can see, she did only polish her nails whole day, damn bloodsuckers, always demanding more pay while loitering at work instead of working :x She was green one, so I thought that hiring green one would work better as green wirebrush clearly le...

Re: Fail car
Yeah, it is one of those hatches at front of the seat, I did not bother to clear all sound proofing, thought that I can practise my welding there as well. Rust had eaten that little door and immediate area next to it, so I did cut as much that I could without cutting boxed section and made patch res...

Re: Fail car
More fail! This might not be for sensitive ones. There was tiny hole at passenger footwell (driver footwell in uk), so had to lift carpet to be able to cut and weld without setting car to fire. Let's see what lurks in here: http://jtbo.pp.fi/images/343_vario/343_under_carpet.jpg WATER, loads of it, ...

Re: What's happening in garages?
Might be good, it might help to get oil changed too, I'm sure of it, last oil change was 8-9 years agoclassicswede wrote:Time for a green wire brush?

Re: What's happening in garages?
There is clearly a pattern here, Fuse also has same kind of wirebrush and it is green, while mine is red, must be reason why he gets so much done  240 spare wheel well pics seemed not to load up for some reason, maybe I need to refresh or something. My garage is too full of stuff to have car in...

Re: Anjo's 340Turbo: EFI conversion
I just found out reason why my projects progress so slowly, your wirebrush is exactly like mine, but your has green handle, mine has red handle, of course that must be reason why my projects are at full stop or almost

Re: Primary CVT unit failure
the chamber in the primary unit is larger on the thicker hose side, so there's more room to fill with air. if you can slightly pressurize the chamber via the smaller hose, and it holds that air for about 10sec then it's ok It is not much more than 10 seconds, but close there, pressure disappears sl...

Re: Volvo 345 starting issue.
Leave it parked for more than a week and the float chamber will be dry as bone. If it's struggling to refill this pot then perhaps the fuel pump could be a bit on the weak side and be sooking back a bit and not overcoming the air in the line. Just use every other day and it won't happen. :lo...

Re: Primary CVT unit failure
After removing all CVT plastic covers, I found out that one hose had came loose at front side of primary unit, not sure if that has been loose before or has it came loose recently. I did test both sides of primary unit and they worked fine, when blowing, connected all hoses, tested from engine bay a...

Re: Fail car
So, I did found hose that had came loose and connected that under the car, then found out that despite getting 12V to EMV coil it is not functioning and I'm pretty sure it has functioned before, but not anymore, EMV itself seem to be operational and I tested with test light EMV coil power leads, lig...

Primary CVT unit failure
After doing some testing and observations I have concluded that my 343 has failure at primary CVT unit, pulleys are not moving and remain at low speed position. It is quite challenging to do blow tests as can't find hose that would be perfect fit, but compared to other side I think that there is no ...

Re: Carbs in bitz
The CD175's are the early version that was then updated to the CD2 Its a bit late so I could be wrong but the 360 has the zenith version with a 3 screw top rather than 4 screw CD175 The parts are all readily available and even new carbs are available. Stromberg and SU are my carbs of choice There p...

You are doing it much better than I did years ago :D This is Solex Cisac z11 from B200K -88 model (Z10 in B172K, Z1 in many Peugeot and Citroen cars, basicly same thing with some small differences, same issues with all of them) http://jtbo.pp.fi/images/album/360/cisac2/album/ I just did take apart S...

Re: Fail car
cylinder came out easily Clip missing from the end of the barrel? I believe so, it used to be good, but once I noticed cylinder attempts to came out with key, haven't bothered fixing that as I always keep it locked and it stays firmly on place when locked. There was some very thick gray grease, not...
