Re: Early 343 spares Breaking
Have just come back from the breakers where this car is. Note not the *car*. Having rang them to check their Easter opening hours earlier in the week, and told by 2 people that they were open Good Friday 9-5, after a 150 mile journey there this morning, I can confirm quite categorically that they a...

Re: Nimminz' LSD GLT Daily
If you get a shorter spring you can then run a helper spring to stop the spring being too short when you jack teh car up. I will look back through my photos and show you.

Re: Nimminz' LSD GLT Daily
It really depends on the wheel type, if you use a motorsport type wheel you will get away with a smaller size, like compomotive speedline etc. Dont forget the bracket will space the caliper outwards slightly too. With coilover rings & big tyres it will be fine providing you dont weld the adapter low...

As title, i promised i would forward this information from a local breakers yard to my parents house. Looked after me with 300 parts for years, they are currently breaking a manual 343. Mk 1 i know lots of people are after parts from early cars at the moment. Their prices are good and they can do ma...

Not that early Dai, it's come off an 84. It's the same as the touring car. Not the early 140 type.classicswede wrote:340GLT wrote:Just sourced early flat bootlid with lock and key...

Re: Volvo 242 powered by T5 in the UK....
Good to see the 242 finally rescued. It doesn't really look any worse then when I last saw it. IMO that's the best front end, just needs the flat bootlid. What colour are you thinking? :) Volvo Rebel blue aka polestar blue. It will be same body spec as the touring car, so early bootlid group A wing...

Re: Volvo 242 powered by T5 in the UK....
No at some point in it's life, probably when converted to rhd it hD the later front and rear light fitted and a later tailgate. I'm not going to restore to original spec but will be using a mix of what I think are the best features from different years. Starting with ditching the later bootlid for a...

Volvo 242 powered by T5 in the UK....
....well pulled by a T5 at least:rofl: On sunday i took the trip up to see Griz and pick up the 242 he has had for the last few years. I don't think any of us were expecting much when we took the tarpaulin off to reveal what lurked beneath. But to our surprise the car hadn't really got any worse. I ...

Re: Volvo 340 F7R HELP!!!
Check the coil pack is any good, they are notorious for playing up on the meganes. They break down internally and give a missfire situation under load.
