every single test shown on the manual on this site. new transisitor fitted... new diode to prevent blowing again.... found break in circuit and soldered in wire to reconnect it... new vaccum kit fitted... all connections tested... I give up..... drove car just now for ten mins and will only do 20mph at 4500rpm!!!!!!

it was the pictures that made me look that little harder. from working through the manual from this site, and going slowly taking time to look I got there... I do have a short fuse and this was testing me... but I love this car and knew it was I good condition as the mot tester commented on it when ...

I have cheked the dry joints etc. just lubbed the cable to see if that makes any differene but now stuck in over drive like it was when I first bough it.
will have a look again tomorrow,,, but I am loosing the plot with this car for tonight...

low and tyres???
looking for advice on what size tyres you guys use on your low 340's. car is dropped by 75 mm al round and collecting 13x7 rims tonight, but unsure as to what tyres I should fit?? only carry one adult in the rear now and again and car is not loaded up with stupid ice systems either. can anyone advis...

oh i thought you may have known the previous owner of it as he had the same problems the car has started doing again after being reapired for a while.... never mind,,.. got excited then....... do nt take much nowadays.

other volvo models and where to find them
I am on the look out and put adverts in the local rags etc.. to try and find a volvo 240 saloon. looking for one that has maybe been off the road a while and needing work for long term project. cant find anything for cheap, seem to be silly money? has anyone on here had any links with any other club...
