So, there is play/wear/lash all over the shop.

Engine bangs in its mounts on startup sometimes.

Gearbox is soundly held at least, so is the axle.

When throttle lever rests on the idle screw the solenoid is active, it closes over 1500rpm in this condition.
Supposed to pull the wire off the idle screw when setting mixture.

Got it done, was even another leak round the allen bolt holes under the wikileaks plate. There are multiple layers of gasket with enhanced 'boing' Should not rattle, and can handle many thou of carb base warp. Just need to tidy up the manifold+paint things evenly with liquid gasket where it's expose...

I used the lid off the carb, and the gasket,all the jets, tubes, clips.. the biscuit. Emulsioney type tubes. Carb leak gone.
