Re: changing oil in front shocks

Nope, it has been acting like this for the last year. The thing is while i was doing the suspension "business", i had to disconnect the long threaded bar attached to the rack via end track rod (i`m sorry but i don`t know the exact name of the parts). And that was the moment i saw that all the bangin...

Re: changing oil in front shocks

Thank you @classicswede ! So far so good, i bought Sachs super touring and i`ve changed them- althought they were 7cm shorter in travel (i`ve cut the springs). The car feels ok, but my steering rack don`t. It makes horrible noises on a bumpy road, on the driver side. I`ve tightened the adjusting scr...

Re: changing oil in front shocks

Help! Tomorrow i intend to buy two new front shock cartridges, KYB brand for my 86 GLT. I hope they will fit, i haven`t dismantled yet the old ones (BOGE brand). I don`t know what lenght the poly-rubber bush that slides on shock should be (i have two new ones from another car- aprox 12 cm, but i don...

Re: Fuel pump relay

Sorry for the late answer: when i had the GLE, at some point i hit a portion with water and melted snow on the highway and that was it! A friend towed me home, and it was owful: winter outside, the water inside the cooling system was cold so i had to drove with a front window down (my window screen ...

Fuel pump relay

Well, after almost 5 years of running the fuel pump whitout its relay, today i`ve tried to connect it the right way ( years ago i`ve changed the fuel pump position, from under the tank to under the brake cylinder). At the beginning i didn`t thought it will last running on and on but it did. Anyway, ...

Does anyone know if the seats from an 850 will fit? I found 2 in decent shape, leather and at a good price.

Re: My turn signal indicators don't work properly

Quick question: why on earth with the engine running if i push the turn lever to the right the needle of the rpm clock starts to go up/down? Same if i use the hazard switch, and if the -i don`t know what the term is- day light (no high or low beam) is turned on, when i push the lever tot the right, ...

Re: Fitting new injectors B200E

Hy, if its ok for kelvin i`ll post my question here, i don`t want to create a new topic. My injectors are fine i think sm1 (B200e) but-> but will i gain something if i`ll change them with a newer type (with 3,4 or i don`t know how many holes in the nozzle instead of one)? I`m thinking of smoother ru...

Re: Fuel consumption B200E

Hello and sorry for my late response. Valve lapping = the love of my life, i almost went crazy doing it, thank God it wasn`t a 16v. First thing after i have dissasembled the head was this lapping, because two valves from exhaust and one from intake ( if i remember correctly) were leaking. Tires are ...

Hy guys, it`s been a while since my last post, but i`we been busy :D So, i managed to finish my engine rebuild, it only took me almost two years. I threw in new gaskets, piston rings, cranck shaft bearings, o-ring on inlet valves. It`s not my first engine that i rebuild- i was very careful. Ok, now ...

Re: Battery light showing when running

You may also check the lenght of the brushes attached to the relay, in time they wear out.
