Hello all, Just a quick question. In prep for the big restore coming up I will be taking the rear axle apart, but to do this i will need to hold the hub still to undo the big shaft bolt. i have aquired a long flat steel bar today, so wanted to put 2 or 3 holes in it and bolt it to the hub to hold it...

Ok cool, so i'll look for the black wire to cut so then there should be no spark to the plugs.Ride_on wrote:1988 would have electronic ignition, You should have the integrated coil+computer module in the engine bay (renix unit).

Hello everyone, As part of my restore that will be happening soon :D :D I will be removing the engine, I am looking at buying a stand to support the engine. So does somebody know how much the B14 engine weighs, but I have a S80 D5 too, so I was thinking of getting a stand that could hold that engine...

Where are you looking to get engine paint for a few quid?
The caliper paint was not so much it was really high temp, i just like the colour...... well that was a famine comment there!!

That is one very cute cat, I am a cat person too. As for "Frost" i have contacted them and they are offering an "Eastwood Silver High Temp Coating (333g)" which works up to 650 degrees, I am hoping to maybe use this for the manifold. a black engine paint http://www.frost.co.uk/search/?q=black+engine...
