Re: "Professionals" huh!
This has been a very good and informative read so far. At some point I'll probably need to tackle this so it's good to have some pictures of what's involved. As a side note, I've found a great way of removing rounded cap screws on CV joints is to use an irwin bolt grip. http://www.irwin.com/uploads/...

Re: Cutting front springs
I took 2 coils off my standard 360 springs which gave me about 2" drop.

Re: B Reg MK2 360 Saloon
Diff shat itself again so changed it today.

Re: B Reg MK2 360 Saloon
Opened the diff and found this monstrosity https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/t31.0-8/12322633_1234244109936185_1394348576194487241_o.jpg Rewelded it properly and it's all good, doesn't pull to the left anymore either. There was some big bits of weld floating about so it's a miracle none of ...

Re: B Reg MK2 360 Saloon
Okay so the diff is definitely gubbed, Dai suggested the welds have broken in the diff. Previous owner welded it so I'm not sure how well it's been done. I'm hopeful that this is the issue because I can fix this tomorrow night no problem. The 340 is my only working car and it's misfiring intermitten...

Re: need advice on milling exhaust manifold flange.
I would mill it flat, it'll be a little thinner but the gasket should take up slight warp if it happens.

Re: B Reg MK2 360 Saloon
Fair enough, it didn't take that long it was just awkward.
Diff definitely knackered, clunk when letting off/accelerating now and diff has gone back to open.
Suspect one wheel drive.
Will go and pick up diff I bought tomorrow in the 340 and fit it asap.

Re: B Reg MK2 360 Saloon
Changed the steering coupling today which made a nice difference to the handling. It was a pig to get off, not sure how anyone would manage it without a 4 post!! Also think I've found the culprit to the pulling to one side when accelerating/changing gear. The passengers diff output flange has a load...

B200e cold starting issues
Now that the temperature has dropped, I'm finding it difficult to start my 360 in the morning. I've bridged the thick white wire on the thermal time switch to earth (hopefully the right wire) in an effort to ground it, but it doesn't seem to have helped. I'll take the cold start injector off tonight...

Re: B Reg MK2 360 Saloon
Not idling crap once warmed up now, changed thermostat - heating also much better. Still issues with cold starting though. Cleaned throttle body out last night, will clean the maf with some electrical contact cleaner too. Still not investigated cold start injector or time switch but I'll take a look...

Re: VDO Speedo Cable
Cheers, Mac directed me to them a while ago!
If I can find a used one for a bit less then, that'll be great as I've got to buy a heap of parts for the car as it stands and any savings that can be made help
Though if I can't find one I'll go for one of those!
