Re: 343 GL
If you plan on refitting the front struts, would recommend getting new shock inserts as it makes quite a difference on old shocks. The rear should just be a case of removing the blocks and possibly chopping down the bolts/finding an original length set.

Re: 343 GL
Found an old for sale post here: http://www.volvo300mania.com/uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=16287&p=187337#p187337 I saw the car at retro rides gathering around that time, great to see it still survives - always liked that metallic green colour. The bodyshop sounds good, especially if they will let y...

Re: 343 GL
Brilliant to see this car back again, it's quite a rare thing now - the previous owner used to be on here too so you may find an old thread!

Re: Aussie 360GLT - New To This Forum
Steve - Yeah, E plate - my car was delivered August 1987 to Perrys Loughborough, I hadn't realised 3-doors were phased out. It must be quite a late one then. I would quite fancy power steering but it would be a bit of a job to convert. I know where I could get a complete kit but don't really have t...

Re: Aussie 360GLT - New To This Forum
Looking good...! Mine is a 1987 GLT, same spec no air con or power steering, maybe one of the last without power steering....less to go wrong I guess. I found out a fair bit of history on my car, the owner who bought it new was quite well known in horse racing and went on to win the Horse of the Ye...

Re: 2022......2021 300 Goals ?
2021 has mainly seen the GLS been pressed into service and so far other than a petrol drain back issue if left for over a week, seems to be going well. It may be up for sale in the spring as I'd like to concentrate my efforts on the GLT, but I'm loathe to do that after putting all the work in and it...

Re: Polybushing a 300 ?
I actually don't think I've ever had a 300 that's managed to wear one of the bushes in the front end compontents, other than top mounts and anti roll bar links. Thankfully they do tend to last quite well but I bet some new ones would make a difference when our cars are at this kind of age! Good sign...
