Re: Can't change gear
It should be terrible for them if they have a lift, I've not done it myself but there may even be enough room to lower the drivetrain to get at the linkage rather than remove it completely

Re: Can't change gear
The weld cracks on the linkage and unfortunately they're right. You can fix it from above by cutting the tunnel, but might not want to do that!

I feel the pain, my fuel tank in the GLS was a right mess - had to replace it

Re: 360 driveshaft
I believe 1.4, 1.7 and 2.0 carb driveshafts are the same - only difference is the injected 2.0's, your GLT will have different driveshafts and I think different CV joints too

Great that it's back on the road... sort of!
The sender in my GLS tank was rusty and stopped the gauge working too, the GLT one I believe is different so don't butcher the nice GL for it

Nice to see one in the 'wild'! Haven't seen one myself in normal use for 3-5 years around here.

Same here Dave! It can't come soon enough - hardly used the GLT last year, will hopefully use it as the 'main' car this year restrictions permitting.

Re: 2021 300 Goals ?
Swap the diff on my GLS, daily both the GLT and GLS during the nice weather... at this rate just for weekly shopping trips! Planned for freshening up the suspension on the GLT at some point also but it's not all that necessary, and I know I'll get carried away and want to remove the subframe and arm...

Re: Shock absordes
Your best bet is the Gaz adjustables that Classic Swede sells, none of the original aftermarket suppliers sell gas ones anymore, only oil filled, sadly.

Re: 360 carby fuel supply
Good news! Definitely worth fitting new clips to that fuel tank hose, I fitted new stainless ones when I had my tank out - the originals do like to disintegrate!

Re: Baffling fuel problem.
Sounds bloody frustrating, cars hate being sat though - is the pump/filter definitely free of gunked up fuel each time?
